We All Use Water is a comprehensive community education package developed by the Australian Water Association and the Sunshine Coast Environment Council in collaboration with industry, government, community groups and educators. The package supports educators and communicators to promote active and informed participation in environmental decision-making by educating about water quality, water recycling and catchment management issues.
We All Use Water comprises technical and community-targeted material to promote public understanding and involvement in water quality and catchment. It consists of:
* A comprehensive 230 page folder containing
* Technical leaflets, Users Guide and Powerpoint presentations (CD-ROM)
* Community Involvement Presenters
Manual
We All Use Water addresses the needs of:
* Industry and government seeking to convey technical knowledge and expertise
* Educators in schools, colleges and community settings working to raise awareness of catchment management, water quality, treatment and conservation issues.
Workshop outcomes
* Increase your awareness of catchment and water quality issues and how they relate to your community
* Develop workshop-planning skills
* Explore issues associated with community engagement and education
