Catchment Modelling School 2005 - Now Inviting Expressions of Interest

March 17, 2005

Following the success of the Catchment Modelling School held in Melbourne last year, the CRC for Catchment Hydrology is planning similar events in both Brisbane and Sydney during July 2005. We are now calling for participants to register their interest in specific workshops to assist us in developing a schedule from over 30 possible courses.

As an incentive, people who express interest before 7 April 2005 will be given the opportunity to ensure their workshop place by registering in advance of a general call.

You can register your interest now by visiting http://www.toolkit.net.au/school

The Brisbane and Sydney Catchment Modelling Schools will comprise a range of modelling software workshops presented during a seven weekday period. Professionals in the natural resource management sector can choose specific workshops to improve their hydrologic and related modelling skills from a range of themes:

  • Understanding Catchment Modelling
  • Climate Variability and Data Analysis Tools
  • Environmental Flows
  • Modelling Frameworks
  • Rainfall-Runoff Modelling
  • River Engineering
  • River System and Water Allocation Modelling
  • Urban Hydrology
  • Water Quality Modelling
  • Water Trading

For further information regarding proposed workshops, venues, costs and dates, please visit the Catchment Modelling School website at http://www.toolkit.net.au/school

Yours sincerely
