This web site has been built to assist land and water managements with impact assessment and rehabilitation planning associated with the recent bushfires in southeast Australia. The content is general and is intended to serve as an adjunct to other information sources on the topic.

The organization of the site is as follows:

  • Background – This part of the site provides an introduction to the hydrologic and associated environmental impacts of bushfires.

  • Frequently Asked Questions – This part of the site provides short answers to FAQ’s, organized with respect to topic area and searchable by keyword.

  • Bibliography – This part of the site provides a list of relevant publication references, searchable by keyword.

  • Downloads – This part of the site provides a list of downloadable note sets on various topics pertaining to bushfires and hydrology. These notes are more detailed than provided in the Background section.

  • News – This part of the site lists short news items relevant to bushfires and hydrology, including announcements of forthcoming meetings and descriptions of current projects being undertaken in this topic area.
